I heard of Pearse's diagnosis through facebook and instantly felt a connection as I also have a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy (SMA).

I know a little bit about how Pearse's life is and the importance of preventative treatments and equipment so I contacted Laura Pearse's mum to see if she was okay with me creating a piece to raffle for him. I asked what flower she would think of when she thinks of Pearse. The flowers were Daffodils as they were the flowers that they saw on their first walk after he came home from the hospital while on end of life care. He is now 4 years old and is a strong, determined little boy who has the brightest twinkle in his eyes. He is capable of so much with the right equipment to support him to live his life to the fullest.

It has been the most touching piece I have worked on knowing the significance these flowers have to Pearse and his family.

All money no matter whether it is £5 or £100 will make a difference to Pearse and his well being so thank you 💜
