Friends of Armenia have several new projects in place. They are currently raising funds to help ethnic Armenian children displaced from their historic homeland of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as low income families that have children that are about to start full-time schooling. To do this their latest project is to provide schoolbags, stationary, weatherproof shoes and coats ahead of the new school year. Many of the recipients were ethnically cleansed from their homeland less than a year ago and left wearing only the clothes they had on their body.
