I've been volunteering with Crisis for 8 years now, helping out in the day centers to provide warmth, companionship and vital services to people facing homelessness during one of the toughest times of the year.

I wish that there wouldn't be the need for organisations like Crisis but unfortunately the services they provide are still very much needed.

I've met individuals from all walks of life, with very different background stories, that have found themselves homeless, and not knowing where to go for help. In the day centers they find a warm cup of coffee/tea and a friendly bunch of people without judgement.

My Christmas wish is for the people I meet this year continue to get the support they need after after Christmas.
