Story
On 27 September, I'm running the Windsor Half Marathon for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
I'm a design engineering student, and the more I learn about how we make and use things, the clearer it becomes that our current consumption model is a design flaw we can actually fix. The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is doing amazing work behind that shift by rethinking materials, products and whole systems so that waste and pollution are designed out from the start, and working with businesses, governments and universities to make a circular economy real rather than aspirational.
I believe human ingenuity can build an economy that's better for people and the planet at the same time. Every pound you give supports the research, education and industry partnerships that make that transition possible.
Thank you for backing this. It genuinely means a lot.
