In May 2024, at just 8 years old, Archie was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Overnight, his world changed, he had to learn how to manage a condition that never takes a break. Despite the challenges, Archie has faced it all with strength, resilience, and a determination to show that T1D won’t hold him back.

Now, one year on, Archie is taking on an incredible challenge to mark this milestone and raise funds for Breakthrough T1D, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of those with type 1 diabetes.

50 Miles. 50 Countries. 1 Big Mission.

Using his Meta Quest 3 VR headset, Archie will be virtually walking 50 miles across 50 different countries! From the Great Wall of China to the streets of New York, he’ll travel the world—all while proving that diabetes doesn’t define him.

Why This Matters

T1D is a lifelong condition with no cure. Research is the key to better treatments, improved technology, and, one day, a world without type 1 diabetes. Archie’s challenge is about more than just fundraising—it’s about raising awareness, inspiring other children with diabetes, and showing that anything is possible.
