Story
This year, I’ve decided to take on my longest distance run yet — a big step up from my current personal best of 10k, which I completed at Equinox in support of a homeless charity. This time, I’m pushing myself further than ever before, and I’m doing it to raise money for University Hospital Coventry — a place that means a great deal to me and my family.
A few years ago, my brother was treated at UHCW and received fantastic care during a time when we were all really worried. The professionalism and compassion shown by the staff left a lasting impression on us, and it’s something we’ve never forgotten.
More recently, my step-dad has been going through the incredibly tough challenge of a cancer recurrence. Watching someone close to you go through treatment is never easy, but knowing he’s under the care of such skilled and dedicated professionals brings real comfort and reassurance.
These personal experiences have made me want to give something back. The staff at UHCW don’t just treat patients — they support families, ease fears, and truly go above and beyond. By raising money, I want to help them continue their amazing work and make a difference for others going through difficult times.
Anything you can give — no matter how small — will go directly to supporting their vital services. Thank you so much for your support.
