Arctic Ride Greenland for North East Autism Society

Gordon Stuart is raising money for North East Autism Society

Arctic Ride Greenland · 17 July 2026

For 45 years we’ve led the way in supporting autistic and neurodivergent individuals, and their families, across the North East of England. We work to create a society where autism is understood and accepted, inclusion is the norm, and autistic people can lead fulfilled lives.

Story

This July, The Arctic Rider will be taking on a challenging expedition across the remote wilderness of Arctic Greenland as part of The Arctic Rider project, raising funds for the North East Autism Society.

For Greenland there are no roads and no motorcycles… no problem. I’ll be using a 500cc ATV to get me to my destination, the Greenland Ice Cap

This cause is important to me as both of my children are autistic. As a family, we’ve seen first-hand the difference that understanding, support and specialist services can make, which is why I’m proud to support the incredible work of the North East Autism Society.

The journey itself will be demanding, but the goal is simple: to raise awareness and funds for a charity that helps autistic people and their families thrive. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. Thank you for your support.
