Story
Hey It’s me Ari !
I usually say that because to me, unless I tell you, how could you know! That’s just one small example of how my life is just a little different.
To celebrate 160 years of Sight Life formally Institute for the Blind Wales I will be climbing Pen Y Fan with a number of other friends of the charity.
Given I’m only 6 I will be guided by Dad but the plan is to climb to the top. This will be the first mountain I’ve ever climbed.
As it’s 160 years I’m aiming to raise £160 pounds and hope you can help me but you mustn’t feel you have to.
I’ve not personally accessed Sight Life as a Charity but there’s every chance I will at some point so this is my way of paying forward.
How Sight Life makes a difference:
43% of people with sight loss have significant depressive symptoms.
For last 160 years, Sight Life's work has been making a meaningful impact in the lives of local blind and partially sighted people when they need us the most.
We want to keep supporting and evolving the services we offer for the next 160 years but we need your support!
Raising just £160 for Sight Life will allow us to visit a Service User at home to provide essential advice to ensure they can continue to live independently; provide a bespoke session on how to successfully manage living with sight loss and reduce the isolation it imposes; and also run a social group that can become a life-line to our Service Users and gives them a reason to leave home.
The money you raise matters. Thank you for helping us make a difference!
