Story
Aria is running the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run to raise money for The MOG Project, a charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by MOGAD (Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody Disease). The charity helps raise awareness of this rare neurological autoimmune condition, provides support to families, and funds vital research into better treatments and outcomes.
Aria is a passionate young footballer and a devoted young carer to her twin brother, Isaac, who is autistic and lives with MOGAD. This condition has caused Isaac to experience a brain injury and transverse myelitis.
Aria shares an incredibly close bond with her brother and is determined to complete a charity fundraiser every year to raise both funds and awareness for causes that mean so much to their family. Since Isaac was diagnosed in 2024, she has shown remarkable dedication to supporting others. Last year, she completed a 5km walk alongside her brother and her best friend, raising an amazing £800 for the National Autistic Society.
At the same time, Aria continues to push herself in pursuit of her own sporting ambitions. She dreams of becoming a professional footballer one day and trains three times a week, alongside playing weekly matches with her Under-9s team.
As her parents, we are incredibly proud of her determination to fundraise each year and her growing passion for making a difference through charity.
