Story
Hello everyone
Louisa, Arit and Jane are combining their fitness so they can complete a triathlon to raise funds for Parkinson's UK.
There’s currently no cure for Parkinson’s. Louisa's mother had Parkinson's before passing away, and Arit's Uncle Jim had it to and now her sister Julie is trying to cope with symptoms that affect her life everyday.
Did you know there are over 40 symptoms of Parkinson’s? Tremor. Pain. Hallucinations. Everyone’s experience is different. Because of this, there may not be a single 'cure'.
By us doing this triathlon together we are determined to finish so that your kind donations can help with funding the right research into the most promising treatments.
Whilst we are still (relatively) fit we thought we would use our bodies to help someone with theirs. All the money raised goes towards Parkinson's UK.
The challenge:
Louisa Maybury - 750m swim in open water
Arit Anderson - 19.8km cycle
Jane Brockbank - 5.5km run
This is all taking place in the wonderful grounds of Blenheim Palace on the 1st June 2024. Do come and cheer us on if you can!!
There are super humans out there doing all the disciplines - some twice!
But we will do our best to get over the finish line together and think of all those people relying on the funds this event will raise.
So please pledge whatever you can and send us fabulous fitness vibes!!
Much love
Louisa, Arit and Jane
