Arjun is proud to be hosting a charity football tournament on Thursday 18th June 2026.

All proceeds will go to Steps Charity, who help those affected by childhood lower limb conditions such as Talipes and Hip Dysplasia.

Talipes, in particular, is a condition close to the heart of one particular Arjun employee, who's son Oscar was born with Talipes on both feet. So severe was the condition that his parents feared he'd never be able to walk. To get an idea of the extent of Oscar's treatment and what he had to go through, his parents have shared the below.

"Just days after Oscar was born, the physiotherapy team at St George's Hospital got to work on treating him, and also put us in touch with Steps, who offered plenty of information and support regarding his condition. Treatment initially involved regular and extensive physiotherapy sessions from two weeks of age. The aim of this was to reposition his feet as best as possible, and cast them for a few days at a time.

At just over two months old, Oscar then had to have an operation in which both of his Achilles tendons were cut, his feet re-positioned and then put in casts again. At this point his feet were 'corrected' but were required to remain in custom-made boots. He had to wear these for 23 hours a day (only taking them off for bath time!) until six months old, at which point he then had to 'only' wear them overnight until five years old. Oscar has been so resilient after going through the mill, but fast forward eight years and not only can he walk perfectly well, he is also top scorer of his under-8s football team!

Throughout all of this, Steps have offered unwavering support & advice, and ran events for children that have had similar experiences albeit with a wide variety of conditions. Their support has been invaluable and we could not be more grateful."
