Story
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition which causes damage to the nerves in your brain and spinal cord (the central nervous system). It’s estimated that over 150,000 people in the UK have MS, and every year around 7,100 more people are diagnosed.
Anyone who knows someone with MS will be aware of the detrimental impact it can have on ones life.
I will be running the London Marathon in memory of my brother Shiva Mehta, who suffered from the cruel effects of MS and tragically passed away in 2018. We miss him every single day.
There is currently no cure for MS, so research undertaken by the Multiple Sclerosis Society that helps support the development of treatments and other interventions is crucial. Your donation will hopefully help to ensure that no mother, father, sister, brother, wife or child etc. should have to feel the pain and awful impact of this condition as Shiva's family and friends have.
I will (deliberately) be running the Liverpool Half Marathon (23 March) in preparation.
Thank you for your support.
YNWA Shiva.
