Story
Brewing kindness this September to support Breast Cancer Now —
Every cup helps change the future.
In the last five years, both Julia and I have received treatment for breast cancer. It’s a journey that reshapes everything — your body, your confidence, your sense of time, and your understanding of what truly matters.
We’ve also watched friends and family face their own diagnoses, each story different but threaded with the same fear and the same fierce determination.
This Afternoon Tea is our way of giving back to the charity that supported us, informed us, and helped us feel less alone.
We are writing to you not just as event organisers, but as two local friends who have fought Breast Cancer. Having both faced the fear, the treatment, and the long road to recovery, we know first‑hand how vital support is during life’s darkest moments.
To celebrate our health — and to support others going through this journey — we are hosting an Afternoon Tea & Cake fundraising event.
It’s a chance for our community to come together, share kindness, and raise money for the care and research that helped us and so many people we love.
