RAFA V50 challenge is back for 2026!

The RAFA V50 Challenge is back – and it’s bigger than ever. Since 2020, more than 2,500 participants have raised over £142,000 to support the RAF Association who for over 90 years have championed a simple belief – that no member of the RAF community should ever be left without the help that they need, veterans or families.

Organised by serving personnel, this event challenges you to complete 50 miles in just one week. People have taken part all across the UK and in the USA, Canada, Romania, Belgium, the Falkland Islands, Iraq, Qatar, UAE, Oman and Cyprus.

The challenge is on from Monday 27 April 2026 - Sunday 3 May 2026.

Cheryl and I will be rowing at least 50 miles during the week on the Great Ouse in our 2x from our club in Ely, the Isle of Ely Rowing Club who have been amazing in their support of our efforts!

We aim to challenge ourselves a bit more by rowing down to Denver and back as well (two Great Ouse Marathons in a day - though perhaps not at race pace!) and will be hosted by West Norfolk Rowing Club at Denver Lock.
