I was born with a major heart condition, and have worked with Children’s Heart Federation to try and make things easier than it was for me and my family when I was growing up.

My main surgery was 1974, and I had a new valve a couple of years back and this is my first foray back into ultra events.

CHF supports children with heart conditions and their parents and carers by providing: a telephone helpline, publications, peer support and opportunities for networking, online resources, a support fund and resources for children.

CHF campaigns for support and services for children with heart conditions by: collecting and sharing information, sharing knowledge, better care campaigns and taking part in research projects.
