Art & Flash Fundraiser

In collaboration with flash fiction lit mag, Neither Fish Nor Foul, I'm running an online ekphrastic writing workshop to help raise money for Cruse Bereavement Support.

The Workshop

Join us for an hour-and-a-half of writing in response to the work of an artist ‘for whom painting was an intensely private endeavour until her later life’. Each painting we look at will be accompanied by optional writing prompts. There will also be information about the artist’s work and life, and an invitation to share your work if you would like to. Sharing work is completely optional, there's no expectation for anyone to share anything.

Who Is the Artist?

I always keep the name of the artist secret until after the first writing sprint. I do this so writers can respond to a piece of work without any preconceived ideas or influences.

After you've donated forward your JustGiving email confirmation to me at anika@anikacarpenter.com and I will send you the Zoom link for the Dec 7th session.

The Special Issue

As well as the workshop Jack Morris, EIC at Neither Fish Nor Foul will be making Issue 9 a fundraising issue to coincide with the workshop. Subs will open on 8 December and will be themed around our chosen artist’s life and work. The name of the artist will be shared on the Neither Fish Nor Foul submissions page.

Submissions will be open to everyone, not just workshop participants, and all Issue 9 submission donations will go to Cruse Bereavement Support.
