Did you know that in 2022-2023, nearly 136,000 young people aged 16-24 in the UK were homeless or at risk of homelessness? That’s like filling Wembley Stadium one and a half times over! And in London alone, a record 1,356 young individuals under 26 were seen sleeping rough in the past year.

Each day across all 32 London boroughs, the Single Homeless Project (SHP) works tirelessly to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness, such as poor mental health or substance dependencies. With over 50 years of experience, SHP aims for a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to lead a fulfilling life.

Here are some of the incredible areas of impact SHP made last year:

• 751 Londoners supported off the streets and into crisis accommodation.

• 4,020 Londoners helped to stay in their own homes.

• 1,329 Londoners rehoused into more stable accommodation, finding a place to call home.

• Over 1,300 Londoners assisted into education, training, or employment.
