Story
My golf society “South East Caddies” will be hosting their 3rd consecutive charity golf day in September this year.
This years chosen charity will be in aid of IPSEA which is the lead charity that helps children and young adults with disabilities receive the education they are legally entitled to.
This charity is close to my heart as they helped ensure that my Autistic nephew Henry is going to get the education he deserves and needs.
Me and Henry have a bond like no other and I am so grateful to have him in my life. Henry got diagnosed with Autism when he was 2 years old and has only been part of my life for 4 years but he has already taught me so much. I’m so lucky to be able to call him my nephew, he brings nothing but joy to me and his family.
He has the best parents in Zoe and Rob, who have been in his corner since day one. They worked extremely closely with IPSEA during a crucial part of Henry’s life. Not all mainstream schools will provide the support and directional advise that families need during such a difficult period. This is where IPSEA step in…..
IPSEA offers free and independent legally based information, advice and support services to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The struggle facing thousands of families of children and young people with SEND can take years to resolve and often has a devastating effect on children and their families, so the advice and support IPSEA provides is vital.
