Story
We are raising money for Hospice of the Valleys / Hospis y Cymoedd!
As a Trustee of the Hospice since November 2024 I have seen at first-hand the dedicated work of the Hospice staff. Both our immediate and wider families have required Hospice services in the past and I have been amazed at the quality of the services and the staff dedication eked out of a precarious budget.
Last year my daughter, Eleanor, her cousin P-J, and I tackled the Hospice's big hike in Crughwyel / Crickhowell. This was a hard, but enjoyable, walk through (or rather up and down) lovely Welsh countryside and we managed to raise a good deal of money for the Hospice. The Hospice team had mooted a bigger challenge for 2026 and so we decided to join in; this time my son, Lewis, will join Eleanor and me to climb the 3 mountains that circle Y Fenni / Abergavenny. We know how much these charity events can do to raise money and awareness for the work of the Hospice. This year’s challenge will be physically tough, but we are eager to raise money to help this much- needed community support service.
Diolch yn fawr iawn, unwaith eto!
This July, I’ll be taking on the iconic Abergavenny 3 Peaks – Hospice style, to raise vital funds for patients and loved ones living with a life-limiting illness.
The challenge covers a stunning 33km circular route across Abergavenny’s famous trio of peaks—The Blorenge, Sugar Loaf, and Skirrid Fawr. With 1,493m of elevation in a single unforgettable day, it promises breathtaking views, rugged trails, and a true test of endurance.
I would be incredibly grateful for any donation you are able to give. Every pound truly makes a difference to those who need it most.
Thank you so much for your support. 🙏
