Just4Children are raising money to provide Arthur with targeted physiotherapy, hydro and aqua therapy, specialist equipment, speech and language therapy and any future therapies that would benefit Arthur. He is also due to have SDR surgery soon.

Story

Ausra and a team of medics friends are taking on the challenge of climbing mount kilimanjaro

They will be climbing 5895m above sea level, a trip that will take 7 days

She will

*Meet local crew and trek onwards to first camp (2600m)

*Ascend across open moorland to second camp at Kikelewa Caves (3550m).

*Trek up to Mawenzi Tarn, and see the spectacular Mawenzi Volcano. (4300m

*Vital acclimatisation day, proven to increase chances of summit success. Walk to volcanic cones of Mawenzi (4500m), return to camp at 4300m

*Cross the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. Camp beneath mighty Kibo Wall (4750m)

*Kilimanjaro summit day (5895m). Descend to Horombo (3720m)

*Trek to Marangu Gate

This Kilimanjaro trek takes her along the quieter Rongai Route. This is one of the most scenic trekking routes on Kilimanjaro, providing a gradual climb through forest, farmland, open moor and has expansive views northwards to Amboseli National Park in Kenya

Ausra is taking on the massive challenge to help raise money for arthur continuing therapy.

Just4Children are raising money to provide Arthur with targeted physiotherapy, hydro and aqua therapy, specialist equipment, speech and language therapy and any future therapies that would benefit Arthur. SDR surgery may no longer possible but our aim is to help Arthur find his feet and give him a greater independence.
