Story

The Art of War Foundation is a newly formed charity, who aim to use art to raise money to provide mental health support to both current and former armed force personnel.

On the 24th August 2025, a team of current/former Bootnecks and civi's will undertake the Royal Marine's 30 miler across Dartmoor. The 30 miler is the final of the 'Commando Tests' for Royal Marine recruits to earn the coveted green beret, which requires them to cover 30 miles over Dartmoor across undulating terrain within 8 hours.

All money raised will go directly to the following charities/initiatives:

60% - to support the Art of War Foundation - https://www.theartofwarfoundation.com/ (website coming soon)

20% - to support the Royal Marines Association - https://rma-trmc.org/

20% - to Palpa Films to support the filming of the 'Once We Were Warriors', a documentary filmed by veterans, covering the story of veterans forging a new path and redefining themselves 10 years on from operations in Afghanistan. https://www.oncewewerewarriorsfilm.com/
