Throughout 2025 and 2026 our team in Arup’s Liverpool office will be participating in numerous activities to raise vital funds in aid of the new Claire House site in West Derby, Liverpool.

About Claire House

Claire House Children’s Hospice is a UK-based charity that provides specialist care and emotional support to seriously and terminally ill babies, children, and young adults. Operating primarily in Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, and surrounding areas, the hospice helps families make the most of the time they have together.

The new Claire House site in West Derby, Liverpool is perfectly located, close to Alder Hey where many children and families visit. However, they cannot deliver the urgent 24/7 care needed without the support of all of us.

The site offers:

• Planned care (respite stays at the hospice or home, day care and groups for different ages)

• Unplanned or emergency care (which includes end-of life care, symptom management and breaks provided at times of crisis because of a healthcare or social emergency)

• 24/7 Rapid Response team

• Perinatal support

• Clinical therapies such as physiotherapy and aquatic therapy

• Young adult end of life and transition support

• Psychology, counselling, and bereavement support for the family

• Sibling support

• Complementary, play and music therapies

• Butterfly Suites and bereavement support.
