Akita Rescue & Welfare (ARW) is a charity for Akitas in need, which is operated entirely by volunteers. The ARW goal is always to rehome an Akita in need from one home directly into a suitable new home which is in the Akita's best interest.
There have been, & continues to be times when an Akita in need, cannot stay in their existing home, and need the facility of boarding kennels whilst a new suitable home is found. This process can take time to complete as the ARW volunteers need to advertise and complete due-diligence for each Akita, & there are multiple Akitas requiring hep at any one time.
ARW do not have their own kennels for Akitas in need, and rely on commercial boarding kennels with specific breed experience to board the Akitas in this interim period. This facility is accompanied with a cost which we are asking for your help with.

Your donations will help the dogs which are currently featuring on the AWR website & social media sites and allow AKR to continue to assist Akita's who need our help. Unfortunately there is regularly more Akitas needing immediate assistance than ARW have the recourses address. With your help, ARW will be able to increase our offerings to Akitas in need.
ARW understand the continued increase in requests from charities, who all have their own goals to achieve. In this instance ARW will demonstrate our appreciation of your donations by running all 26.2 miles of the Dublin City Marathon.
