As I Am

Central Wales FA is raising money for National Autistic Society

Charity football match · 20 June 2026

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Central Wales FA, in collaboration with local legend Stephen Lewis, is proud to present a fun and meaningful charity football match on June 20th at Latham Park, Newtown.

The event, titled As I Am, will bring together current and former professional and semi-professional footballers—both male and female—alongside local neurodiverse amateur players for a truly inclusive and inspiring occasion.

This match marks the first step in Central Wales FA’s commitment to developing a football platform that champions inclusion and participation for individuals with mental, physical, and emotional differences.

This year’s As I Am event will focus on neurodiverse conditions, including autism, dyspraxia, ADHD, and more, celebrating the unique strengths and talents within the community. All proceeds will be donated to The National Autistic Society.
