For the first time, the Ascent Aviation Team are taking part in the WorldFlight event for the Beatson Cancer Charity.

The Beatson Cancer Charity.
We are proud to be undertaking this marathon event in aid of the Beatson Cancer Charity who provide care and support to patients and their families dealing with the challenges of cancer.
The Beatson Cancer Charity support cancer patients and their loved ones in a vast array of ways including befriending services, well-being services and therapies, raising grants and funding for research and education enhancing treatments and technologies and providing bereavement support for those who have tragically lost loved ones to cancer.
The Charity also works very closely with the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, one of the largest cancer hospitals in Europe, which provides diagnostic services and care to cancer patients in the West of Scotland and beyond.

Ascent Aviation WorldFlight Team.
Founded in 2019, Ascent Aviation was setup with the aim of providing inspiration to future pilots and to share the magic of flight through Flight Simulation to enthusiasts, the public and more.
The Ascent Aviation WorldFlight Team has come together to participate in the WorldFlight simulator flight around the world over 7 days. We will fly the Boeing 737-800NG fixed base simulator 24 hours a day, for a full week to complete the 45 flights which will take us from Sydney Australia, back to Sydney again, exactly as we would if it were the actual aircraft.
The Team is comprised of commercial pilots, private pilots and pilots in training who are either instructors or clients of Ascent Aviation and who are all giving their time to this event in the support of a very deserving cause. Indeed, as in broader life, the Ascent team have many personal connections with cancer and the care and support of cancer patients personally, so this is a cause very close to all at Ascent Aviation.
