Why Am I Raising Money?

I've faced struggles with mental health in the past, and it continues to be a challenge for me today. Life's pressures have sometimes pushed me into dark places, and more recently, becoming a dad has added new stresses alongside immense joy. During these tough times, having someone to talk to has been a true lifesaver. I am incredibly fortunate to have a strong support network, and my best mate, my brother in arms, Lyndon, is always there to listen.

However, I am acutely aware that many men suffer in silence, believing they have no one to turn to. This is where ANDYSMANCLUB comes in.

ANDYSMANCLUB is a men’s suicide prevention charity offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. Their mission is to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and to help men through the power of conversation. Their motto, "IT'S OKAY TO TALK," resonates deeply with me.

Lyndon and I are just two blokes who believe in the importance of a simple chat over a beer to talk through life's ups and downs. To raise awareness of mental health and raise funds for ANDYSMANCLUB, we will be doing our own up and down by hiking up Ben Nevis on the 31st of August.

Our goal is to ensure more men have the opportunity to be heard and supported.
