Story

I’ll be running the London Marathon for Teenage Cancer Trust to support the fantastic work they do for young people facing cancer. This is my way of making a difference and I hope the money we raise (to provide specialist care, support, and comfort), will ensure that teenagers and families don’t have to face cancer alone.

Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity providing specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer.

BMW UK Group is proud to be supporting Teenage Cancer Trust to ensure that no young person faces cancer alone.

You only get one chance at being young, and those years shape the person you become. Friendships, mental health, body image, studies, work, relationships and choices about the future are hard enough to navigate – before a cancer diagnosis shatters everything.

Teenage Cancer Trust’s units don’t feel like hospital – they’re bright, contemporary spaces where young people can be treated alongside others their own age.

And their expert nurses and youth workers are specially trained to help young people navigate everything cancer throws at them, from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
