Story
Personally, my journey to motherhood hasn’t been plain sailing due to back to back miscarriages and a devastating molar pregnancy. I hadn’t realised there is a 1 in 4 statistic with miscarriage and it really saddened me that it was such a taboo subject. When I first spoke out about my experience I was overwhelmed with just how many of my friends and people I knew well were affected- I couldn’t understand why we felt a need to suffer in silence. 🩷🩷🖤🩷
Admittedly, I have been fortunate to receive so much support from charities, forums and friends and after some much needed emotional healing I have been blessed with my own rainbow, Aurora. 🌈
Firstly, I’d like to raise awareness of miscarriage and free it from being this unspoken devastation and secondly I’d to give a little something back which is why I'm fundraising for Tommy's, the baby charity. I’ll be taking part in a 100 Miles in October challenge. 🚶🏻♀️
From October 1st, I'll be walking 100 miles (which I calculated to be just over 5KM a day…) to raise £1,000 to help them continue their vital work of preventing stillbirth, miscarriage and premature birth. I’m not an avid walker, I have bad knees BUT I really want to complete this challenge and make a real difference.☀️
With your help, we can make a difference and create a brighter future for all babies.
Even if you can’t donate (I fully appreciate the cost of living difficulties), just sharing my page will enable me to accomplish my goal of raising awareness. 💕
