Story
Cycling the Camino de Santiago for Cerebral Palsy Plus
From 20th-28th of April, we (Tez & Ash Atkinson) will be taking on the incredible challenge of cycling 798KM along the Camino de Santiago, covering around 100KM per day for 8 days, all to raise funds and awareness for Cerebral Palsy Plus.
This journey is inspired by a family member’s bravery in their diagnosis and the realisation of how little awareness and information there is about Cerebral Palsy (CP). CP is a lifelong condition that affects movement, coordination, and muscle control, often making daily life more challenging, yet, with the right support, people with CP can gain more independence and improve their quality of life.
About Cerebral Palsy Plus
We are raising money for Cerebral Palsy Plus (CPP), a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting children, young people, and adults with CP, as well as their families and carers. CPP provides social events, specialist equipment funding, information resources, and practical support, helping those affected live more independently and confidently.
The Challenge
The Camino de Santiago is one of the world’s most famous pilgrimage routes, stretching across Spain. Tackling this on two wheels will be a true test of endurance, strength, and determination. Each day, we’ll cycle approximately 100KM, pushing ourselves to the limit to raise funds and shine a light on CP awareness.
How You Can Help
Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference in providing essential support, resources, and opportunities for those with CP. Please consider donating and sharing our page to help us reach our goal!
Thank you for your support! 🙏🏻
