I have chosen to take part in 10YFan 2026 to raise much needed funds for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity, the official charity of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. I love a challenge, and I love anything that involves being active, and refining my resilience and determination. I am a member of the armed forces, I serve as a medic and the first female Advanced Physical Training Instructor in my unit, I have additional qualifications as a personal training instructor, and simply, when I am not working, I love all things training.

Having something to train for, a cause to support, and a goal to achieve is the best approach to continual improvement. I am deeply grateful for my job in the NHS, and the life it has allowed me to build here in Wales for the last 6 years. I want to give back more, and I know that organisations like CAV Health Charity make a huge difference for patients in our care, I want to help make more of a difference for our patients and the resources and support they can access. 10-Y-fan presented as the perfect opportunity to do so!
