Update: I DID IT!!!!
I completed 100 miles (+3.78) 😭😭
This one has taken a lot of time to process, honestly. I may be the one that did the race but boy was this far from a solo victory. The plan didn’t plan and I had to battle an injury that I picked up 3 weeks ago flaring up at only 3 hours in, waves of nausea whilst being unable to eat most of Saturday night into Sunday and some serious lows.
My support crew was hands down the reason I got to hold that medal in my hands. My crew were with me for more or less the entire THIRTY SEVEN HOURS that I was out there, coming home. I genuinely owe them everything
It didn’t go to plan but problem solving everything I was hit with and still getting to that finish (blister free btw, not to show off 😉) is something I am so proud of.
In July I will be running a 100 mile ultra marathon from Edinburgh Castle to Glamis Castle. This is by the far, the furthest race I have ever contemplated running. By the time race day comes around I'll have completed 3 other ultras in training. C2C100 has a 48 hour cut off and I will be running though the night, supporting local charity - WRASAC.
The Women's rape & sexual abuse centre are a Dundee & Angus based organisation that supports women, including trans women, affected by sexual violence completely free of charge since 1984.
£20 would allow them to provide one hour of support to a woman, child or young person
