Our little warrior, Amber, made an early entrance into the world at just 26 weeks and 5 days, weighing a tiny 2lbs 3oz. Amber, spent the first 12 weeks (85 days) in NICU, where we faced an emotional rollercoaster.

At just two days old, we learned she had suffered a severe grade 4 bleed on one side of her brain, and by day four, the doctors confirmed cyst damage on the opposite side.

Due to these injuries, Amber has a high risk of developing cerebral palsy.

Ashley and I, are running the Cardiff half marathon in October to raise money for Cebral Palsy Cymru, who hold a very special place in our hearts.

CP Cymru provides early intervention physiotherapy for babies and young children, helping to change their developmental outcomes.

CP Cymru has already had an amazing impact on Amber’s journey. At just 9 months old, she has received free physiotherapy and participated in an intensive three-day early intervention course, along with monthly visits. The progress she is making is incredible.

Initially, Amber had very limited movement in her left arm, but with the support of the physios at CP Cymru, she is beginning to show small signs of progress.

We are hoping to raise funds and awareness for CP Cymru, ensuring that more children like Amber get access to the life changing support they need.

Every donation, big or small, will make a difference. Your support will help provide physio therapy, equipment, and hope for families like ours.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
