Thank you for supporting us once again in this years 2026 Autism Superhero 5K! This is our 6th year participating and we couldn't do this without you all supporting Luca's Pack every step of the way.

As many of you know Luca was diagnosed with Autism at age 2. Luca is now 8, he will be 9 in June. Autism is his superpower some days and some days it is not. Some days it is amazing to see how his brain works and some days it breaks my heart to see him struggle. But every day we own it and couldn’t be more proud of him. Luca works so incredibly hard every single day. He was completely non-verbal until almost 6 years old. Here we are couple years later and calls for me constantly. “Mum. Mum, mum, mum, mommy!” He is constantly singing Dean Martin and asking us what song. Our conversations involve lots of prompts but he is able to tell me if his day was good or bad. He tells me who he was with and when given choices and prompted he can answer questions. I never thought we would get here and yet here we are. Here he is crushing it!

This walk is so important to our family and we appreciate everyone who is able to support this amazing community. Every little bit truly helps and makes a huge impact to those of us in the Autism Community. Registrations, donations, and sponsorships received in support of this event help fuel the vision of Advocates Autism Resource Center: to be the center of the autism community in Central Massachusetts. The Center has held this important role for more than 25 years. Today, that vision is realized through engagement with more than 4,000 children, adults, and families every year seeking resources, skill-building opportunities, and an understanding community.
