As most of you know, on 2nd June 2025 our daughter Willow was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. This is news no parent ever wants to hear, but we heard it and had to face whatever it threw at us.

Throughout her treatment so far, Willow has shown us what true strength really is. Her resilience and infectious personality have been nothing short of amazing.

During this time, we have had to lean on charities to help us cope and survive on a daily basis. Before this journey, we never truly realised just how much these charities do, or how crucial they are — from small gifts for families, right through to helping fund critical trials and modern medicines that save so many lives.

On 30th May 2026, whilst offshore, I will be starting a challenge of running or walking 5k a day for 35 days — a total distance of 175k. This will be completed either by laps of the helideck or on a treadmill each day, with the hope of raising money to give back to the charities that have helped us through our emotional struggle.

Every single donation, no matter how small, really does help support families going through such an incredibly tough battle.

Meridith’s Mission is a charity very close to our hearts, who continue to support us and so many other families as we still try to navigate this journey every day.
