Being of a larger build, I’ve always enjoyed a challenge! What better challenge to face than an Olympic Distance Triathlon in Cardiff! A 1500m Swim, 37km Bike and 9km run, it’s quite the challenge as a plus-sized athlete!!

I also face a far bigger challenge… I have recently been diagnosed with Optic Neuritis which affected my sight significantly, although that has now improved greatly, after further testing and medical investigation, face the real possibility of a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis.

I have always been keen to raise funds when I’ve competed in previous running events, and this time will prove no different. What better way to start my journey with the possibility of MS than raising funds to help essential research into the condition.
