Story
2026 marks 110 years since the Battle of the Somme, one of the most significant and devastating battles of the First World War. To honour the memory of those who fought and fell on those fields, I’ll be taking on the Big Battlefield Bike Ride, cycling 250+ miles from Ypres to Thiepval.
I’m proud to ride in support of Help for Heroes, a charity that provides vital support to wounded veterans and their families. The sacrifices made on the Somme remind us of the ongoing struggles many servicemen and women face today, physical injuries, mental health challenges, and the need for community and care.
Over several days, I’ll be pedalling through historic battlegrounds, memorials, and cemeteries, reflecting on the courage and resilience of those who came before us. Every mile I ride is a tribute to them, and every pound raised will directly help heroes of today rebuild their lives.
