Story
Charity fun run complete!! Big thanks to my daughter Zoe aka Miss Motivator. The run and particularly the wine tasting stops were indeed great fun.
HUGE thanks to everyone who has helped us get past the £1,000 marker as well as to the finish line.
Please help us reach our £1,250 target if you can

My daughter Zoe and I are running the Bacchus (fittingly the God of Wine) 10K fun run together through Denbies vineyard with wine tasting stations enroute! We have been training (some faster than others!) together in Corsica and Sardinia so will be ready for the warmth if the current heatwave continues.
The run is in aid of the Queen Elizabeth Foundation (QEF) hence this fundraising page. Please give generously or even join us on the day as a fundraising runner, supporter or wine taster! https://www.qef.org.uk/events/bacchus
Since retiring from full time work in late 2024 I have enjoyed being an occasional volunteer (most recently at The Wimbledon Championships) and fundraiser for QEF.
Our first Patron in the 1930s was the Queen Mother when support was offered to WW1 veterans as well as civilian adults and children.
In the last year QEF has worked with over 10,000 disabled adults and children living with physical and learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries, supporting them in gaining new skills and increased independence.
Whether its learning everyday life skills, rebuilding a life affected by brain injury or acquiring the skills to drive a specially adapted car, QEF supports disabled people to achieve their potential, so they can be as independent as possible and live enriched and fulfilled lives.
More photos to come of crossing the finish line in bacchanalian headdress and - with your support - of hitting our fundraising target.
Please give what you can
