This February, myself, Nicola, Marie, Sharon and Sinead will be running 56 miles in memory of our beautiful sister Denise, marking 10 years since she passed.

Denise was taken from us far too soon, and not a day goes by that she isn’t missed. She was more than a sister, she was a daughter, a friend, and a constant source of love and light in our lives. Even after ten years, the pain of losing her remains, but so does the love we carry for her every single day.

We are running in aid of Pieta House, in gratitude for the support they gave our family and for the vital support they continue to provide to individuals and families all across Ireland who are affected by suicide and self-harm. Their compassion, care, and understanding make an unimaginable difference to so many people in their darkest moments.

This run is our way of honouring Denise’s memory, turning our grief into something positive, and helping ensure that other families receive the support they need when they need it most.
