At one point running was just a part of my routine — a way to stay active, clear my head, and enjoy a bit of solitude. I never imagined it would one day carry the weight of something far deeper.

Every day, I laced up my shoes not only to train my body but to connect with something deeper – a sense of purpose, a way to give back, and to honour the people and values that shaped me.

Not long ago I lost my mother – the most generous, kind-hearted woman I’ve ever known. In that moment, running took on a new meaning. It became my way of carrying her love forward, of channelling my grief into something that could make a difference.

Because of that, I decided to run the London Marathon on 27th April 2025 in her memory again not just as a personal challenge, but as a tribute. Every mile I run will be for Kidasha – a small but mighty charity that protects and supports vulnerable children in Nepal, many of whom face exploitation, abuse, and unimaginable hardship.

These children don’t just need shelter. They need love. Care. And someone to believe they matter. I believe they do. All of this I got from my mother before she passed away and now as my guardian angel.

In 2023, with the support of my closest circle, I ran the Amsterdam Marathon and raised just over £1,000 for Kidasha. This year, I’m hoping to do the same – not by reaching out to the world, but by turning to the people I trust most: you.

And now, with less than 10 days to go, I’m reaching out again – not to the masses, but to the people I hold in the highest regard, those who I know care deeply.
