Story
As many of you know we as a family lost our matriarch of the Pollitt Family on 5th May this year. We always knew mum was an angel and know she’s finally gained her wings.
So as part of our effort to show our appreciation and gratitude to the Haematology department at Salford Royal Hospital, headed by the wonderful Dr Hashaishi and Catherine Wylie I’m running the London Marathon 2027.
In the final few days with mum we watched this years and she turned to me and said “your getting into running, are you going to run this in my memory next year!” How is a boy to say no to that! She made me apply there and then so she didn’t forget and the wonderful team at Northcare Charity made this a reality so mum had her final wish or revenge whichever way you look at it.
I know we raised £18k for them following mums funeral however I’ll be running nearly a year to the day of mum passing. So anything no matter how big or little it is will help the team there.
I’m talking on behalf of myself, dad, Laura and the rest of the family to say a massive thank you.
