Challenge 1000 and Branch Sponsored Walk and Cycle, 5th to 12th July.:

This year the charity chosen is St. George’s Crypt, a charity providing care, compassion & hope to the homeless, vulnerable & disadvantaged in Leeds.

The Challenge is for our members to either walk, cycle or run 1000 miles between us. The Challenge will start on 5th July and will end on 12th July with the sponsored walk from Huddersfield train station HD1 1JB to Liversedge Cricket Club (approx 11.4 miles). The sponsored cycle ride will be a round trip from Brighouse to Hollingworth Lake, which is a reasonably flat canal ride (approx 42 miles). In between there will be some other events (to be arranged) which will be more local to members in order to meet the target of 1000 miles over the week.
