Story

Hi everyone,

On Sunday 15th June, I am taking on the London to Brighton bike ride to raise money for British Heart Foundation (BHF) – a cause that’s deeply personal to me.

I'm doing this in memory of my beloved uncle, who sadly lost his life to heart failure. Losing him was incredibly painful. I lost my dad when I was very young, and that was an unimaginably hard time for both my mum and me. My uncle stepped in and supported us in every way—he loved me like his own son, he was my rock, my constant, and his passing left a deep void in my life.

This ride is my way of honouring his memory, and more importantly, helping BHF in their vital mission. The funds raised will support life-saving research into heart and circulatory diseases, their causes, and prevention. BHF also works to influence public policy and raise awareness about the risks and signs of heart disease.

It’s only thanks to the generosity of people like you that BHF can continue creating new treatments, drive innovation, and work towards finding cures—so that other families don’t have to suffer the heartbreak that mine did.

Every pound truly makes a difference.

Please, if you can, donate whatever you’re able. Your support means the world to me and to families like mine.

Visit bhf.org.uk to learn more about this amazing charity and the incredible work they do.

Thank you for your generosity.
