Raising Funds for a Water Well in memory of Dr Asif Saifuddin.

Dr Asif Saifuddin was an exemplar in his approach to his professional and personal life. He had an immeasurable impact across the community and healthcare system. The knowledge he imparted has provided better care for thousands of patients across the globe.

We have set up a fundraiser to raise vital funds for a water well in Malawi in his memory. Our noble Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us ‘The best Sadaqah is giving water (to drink).’ [Ahmad]

We are raising £1900 to fund a water well in Malawi in memory of Dr Asif Saifuddin.

Any excess money will be pledged to Ummah Welfare Trust to distribute to other water projects as they deem most needy.

Deepwater wells provide their users with waters for years and years. In rural areas they are a lifeline for the inhabitants as they may be the only source of potable water. They bring convenience, safety and privacy, and improve the lives of children and adults alike.

Providing water in this way is a very good way of offering a Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) as the donor can expect to reap Allah’s blessings for as long as the well supplies water.
