John was a loving husband, father, teacher and friend who inspired many with his kind, gentle and fun personality.

John was diagnosed with melonoma skin cancer in 2021 and fought the disease bravely undergoing numerous treatment. Sadly, John's cancer spread to his brain at the beginning of last year, but John's zest for life never left him as he continued walking, gardening and spending time with those closest with him right up until he went into Priscilla Bacon Lodge in August 2025.

John's family were by his side when he passed away in the early hours of the morning on Thursday 28th August 2025.

John's family can't thank all the nurses and staff enough at Priscilla Bacon Lodge for their love and care in John's final moments.
