My Six Star Journey

Da jeg ikke har mulighed for at tidskvalificere mig til London maraton (det er kun muligt for UK borgere) har jeg valgt at indsamle penge til St. John Ambulance og købt starnummer igennem den organisation. London maraton er et af de 6 big majors hvoraf jeg har løbet fire: Berlin, New York, Boston og Chicago. Jeg mangler blot London og Tokyo.

Så ja jeg praktisk tager tigger jer om donere penge til St. John Ambulance for at løbe maraton i London.

Men hvordan startede min rejse mod de seks stjerner? Startede det i Berlin maraton nr 2 eller startede de hele i virkeligheden med det allerførste maraton, nemlig på Færøerne?

Since I as a non-UK citizen don't have the possibility to time qualify for the London marathon have I chosen to go the fundraising way and bought a bib-number through St. John Ambulance. London is one of six Big Majors of which I have already run Berlin, New York, Boston and Chicago. Soon I will have achieved my London star and then awaits Tokyo.

So yes I am begging you to donate money to St. John Ambulance to run the London marathon.

But when did my Six Star Journey start? Was it with my marathon number 2 in Berlin? Or did it all start with the very first one on the Faroe Islands?

I have chosen to fundraise for St. John Ambulance, since I think it is important that first responders are close by when someone need immediate help. St. John Ambulance are present at big events such as Football matches and concerts. This means people who get a heart attack or faint because of dehydration get help fast and can be transported to hospitals with no delay. St. John ambulance also provides first aid courses and AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators).
