Story
The haematology department is a purpose-built unit that treats patients from many specialities, primarily haematology but also rheumatology, gastroenterology and more, providing day-case treatments and running out-patient clinics to prevent inpatient admissions.
Their main treatments include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion and supportive medication. They aim to provide individualised, holistic, evidence-based care for patients, delivered efficiently and with compassion. They strive to ensure that patients are safe in their care as well as at home, and provide a triage service to chemotherapy patients, enabling 24-hour support for this cohort.
