The Athene Club community is coming together to support a cause close to our hearts during an uncertain and critical time for many around the world. As a community built on connection, compassion, and collective action, we believe in using our platform to make a meaningful difference.

From March through to the summer, we will be hosting a series of fundraising initiatives - including Iftars, social events, goods sales, and outdoor challenges such as runs and hikes. Alongside these, our members will be taking part in major races including the Brighton Marathon, London Marathon, Hackney Half, and more, all with the shared goal of raising vital funds.

We are proud to be supporting IDEALS (International Disaster & Emergency Aid with Long-term Support) — a dedicated medical and humanitarian organisation working in some of the world’s most challenging conflict and disaster zones.

Since 2000, IDEALS has been delivering life-saving healthcare to communities affected by war and crisis. Their work includes:

- Emergency surgical care for those injured in conflict

- Provision of essential medical supplies and equipment

- Rehabilitation services for long-term recovery

- Training and support for local healthcare professionals

- Rebuilding and strengthening healthcare systems in fragile regions

Their impact spans countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Lebanon, and the occupied Palestinian territory — reaching those who need it most, often in the most difficult circumstances.

As a community, we recognise the privilege of safety and stability, and we are committed to standing in solidarity with those who are facing unimaginable challenges. This fundraiser is not just about raising money it’s about raising awareness, fostering empathy, and taking action together. Every event we host and every mile we run is a step towards supporting life-saving work on the ground.
