Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

On June 13th I’ll be joining a team of twelve friends and colleagues to start the National Three Peaks challenge. We have decided to raise funds for charities that are close to us which will all be combined in an overall team goal. I have chosen Muscular Dystrophy UK in tribute to my cousin, Justin Hribal. Justin was diagnosed at age 5 with Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy but continued to live his life to the fullest through age 29. Even though Justin couldn’t physically complete many activities in his life, he always had the sense of adventure and supported others as they achieved their goals. Charities like this supported him while also working to find better treatment plans and a cure. Appreciate your continued support as I take on this challenge!

More on Three Peaks: As one of the most iconic trekking events in the UK, the National 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. The challenge covers 42kms and involves 3,064 metres of ascent. Despite the popularity of the 3 peaks challenge, you shouldn’t under estimate the toughness of this challenge.

They will be led by an experienced guide from Adventurous Ewe where they will have 24 hours to summit all three peaks. To read more about the National 3 Peaks challenge, click here: https://www.adventurousewe.co.uk/trip/national-3-peaks-challenge/
