On August 16, 2024, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have learned so much about it since then - that 1 in 8 women get it, that finding it early can be key, that everyone’s journey looks different, and treatments have come so far!

I am going to get through this, I have an incredible medical team and the best support system. Most importantly, I believe everything happens for a reason. If me getting this can help any of the amazing women in our lives catch it earlier, then it is worth it for me. I am seeing this as an opportunity to bring awareness to everyone else to check yourself, pay attention to changes in your body, go to your exams and catch it early.

Everyone has been incredibly supportive - but the best way to help me right now is to make others aware of how prevalent it is and to support amazing organizations that are spearheading the research needed to find the causes and to be able to stop it.
