Since opening August we have got to know Felicity Spector, and she has become a great advocate for August. Felicity is a full time Senior Editor for Channel 4 News, but has other lives too: promoting great bakes and bakeries through her instagram, but most importantly advocating for Ukraine and supporting its bakers. She has also written a brilliant book called Bread and War, published this year, which would be a tremendous Christmas gift for anyone, if you are still hunting.

She has pointed us towards an amazing organisation called Bake For Ukraine, which aims to provide freshly baked sourdough bread to 1000s of people in and around the front lines of the war.

We think this is a truly amazing endeavour, run by courageous and talented people, and we would love it if you (our treasured customers!) could help us in supporting them.
